Uchuu Sentai Noiz (宇宙戦隊 Noiz) is a visual kei rock band from Japan. They are known for their energetic music, wild cosplay-like outfits, and live shows full of energy and on stage antics. Their music is very eclectic and has many different elements from genres such as punk, pop, metal, hip-hop and electronica in their sound and thus cannot be properly labeled. Some songs tend to not mix all these sounds together and focus on one or two, while other song combine all these elements. There are two singers, Angel Taka (lead) and Masato, where as for the most part Angel sings in more of a pop friendly voice though occasionally can sound a bit more punk-ish, while Masato tends to sing in harsh/brutal metal vocals and even purely hip-hop/rap style vocals which Angel will sing backup for.

Uchuu Sentai Noiz formed in 1999 under the name Noiz. Later, the name was changed to Imitation Pops Uchuu Sentai Noiz (Imitation Pops 宇宙戦隊 Noiz), which is the name they are best known for as well as the name under which most of their albums are listed under. Shortly thereafter, on March 21, they released the demo tape "Imitations Pops, which had 5 songs on it. However, their music was not promoted until February and March of 2001 as free distributed demo tapes and a live performance at Okayama Pepper Land Bowwow.
In April, the group released their first maxi-single, "Komando No.0069(コマンドNo.0069)(コマンドNo.0069)" followed by a concert at Ikebukuro Cyber. Before the end of the year they made two one-man night’s at Ikebukuro Cyber, which in these presentations sold their maxi-single "(A + B) No.O-QT?".
In 2003 they released maxi-singles and "E O" and "Ignition". In August, they released their first album Uchuu Sentai kanzenban Cyborg Rock Show (宇宙戦隊サイボーグロックショウ完全盤)(宇宙戦隊サイボーグロックショウ完全盤), this release was followed by a tour from July 6 to October 12. At the end of the tour they released a video of the single "Ignition", which was limited to 1000 copies and a video bus, the "Selfish Revolution 2003", on October 30.
With a growing number of fans, Noiz took a short tour: "4Days Japan Toy's Panic. They had several live performances from November 21 to April 3, among which are included Stylish Wave event, Under Code, Shibuya O-West and various other events in enclosures. However, while participating in events, they also launched Space Plasma Amusement Squadron in an event called Under Code On Air Osaka, and The Sixth Chromosome, both limited to 1000 copies.
In 2004 they released their second album, Zero No keifu, which included 13 songs. In January 2005 appeared the cover of Cure. In May and September of that year they released two new maxi-singles: "Miracle ROocket G5" and "From Skywalker" respectively, and set a November launch date for their third album.
On October 28, 2006, they opened for Olivia Lufkin at US convention in Los Angeles, CA called Pacific Media Expo for their first American performance. The following night, they had their full performance at Pacific Media Expo. In 2007, on September 5 their album called Terra went on sale, along with the video for a single "Bad Music Freaks", which came out that August.
Recently members Satt-On (drums) and Takeswiy (guitar) left the group to be replaced by Yamato (drums) and Kotaro (guitar). Soon after the band shortened their name to the now-official Uchuu Sentai Noiz (宇宙戦隊 Noiz) and signed up with a new major label. After this, they have released only a new single "Brand New World" with the new member on their major label as well as a greatest hits called Great Rock 'N' Roll Heroes (Best of).
In 2010 they visited Raleigh, North Carolina, USA for an anime convention called Animazement. They played 2 nights back to back at the Raleigh Convention center. During this show, Angel Taka had a piece of paper with a translation he would read to his English speaking audience, that included many jokes. They gave a group interview on a Saturday morning, and a signing/photo op the next Sunday for those who had bought either their tee shirt or CD from the dealers room. They were proud to announce on their last performance that all the merchandise they brought for sale had completely sold out, and that the band was both happy and surprised at this turn out, thus assuring their new fans they would return to do a full tour of the US.
On November 6, 2009, they would return to Los Angeles and Pacific Media Expo for a 2nd time with 2 full performances and a Guest of Honor focus panel of their own.
